Carl Doy (Eng. Carl Doy, born in Camberley, Surrey, UK) - British composer and pianist. At age six he so loved playing the piano his grandmother that held tool for all your free time, picking up the ear known tunes. Over the next ten years, he studied the technique of the game, coaches for the exam at the Royal College of Music. Brilliantly won a scholarship to eighteen years in piano, organ and composition.


Within two years, received his musical education at Eric Harrison, Richard Latham and Herbert Howells. Two years later, he was hired to work in the P & O Arcadia as a pianist for the round the world cruises.

He spent several years on various ships, combining this work with that of a musician at NATO bases.

After moving to New Zealand in 1973, he quickly established himself as a pianist and arranger for television in New Zealand.

Over the next fifteen years he has written music for nearly a thousand events on radio and television. At the same time, he found time for the organization and execution of musical performances in the Royal Variety Performance, for HRH Queen Elizabeth II, and the Pope's Mass, which was attended by two of the orchestra and choir of many thousands. Also during this period was friends with such composers as Shirley Bassey, Gladys Knight, Bob Hope, Rolf Harris, Dick Emery, Del Shannon. He represented New Zealand again in many major international festivals, including the American Song Festival in Los Angeles, where he won more than one music award.

In 1987, after a chance meeting with Tom Murray, producer records CBS, Carl Doy recorded an album of works for piano. The album was the first of the best-selling piano works from the series "candlelight" and he entered the charts at number one in its first week. Another eight albums in the series were written over the next twelve years, the second (piano by candlelight 2) - record for most copies sold in New Zealand. In 1992, the 2-CD have become one of the best ever sold in the US (more than one million copies).

In 2000, Karl was commissioned to write music for Buzz and Poppy, the creators of children's 3-D animated films. They are now popular in twenty countries.

In 2002, Karl received the award for best original music for TV Guide. He organized and produced three more platinum albums: the West (2005) and together with the (2006) Russian singer Julia, and Elizabeth MARVELLY - debut album, released in 2007. In 2009 he published a collection of his best songs "Very Best Of Carl Doy".
