David Hicken (David Hicken) - a very popular nowadays composer, pianist, organist. People call him "piano poet". He was born in England, in the county of Shropshire, in a family of musicians. He started to play music very early. He was not even four years old when he first sat down at the piano, and a little later "mastered" the clarinet and organ. He studied at the Royal College of Music in London. While still a teenager, he gave a number of solo concerts in St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Cathedral, St. George's Chapel in Windsor, received many awards from the Association of Royal Music Schools. At the age of sixteen he graduated from college and a year later received a scholarship at the Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore (USA), nineteen - signed the first "real" contract with President Records in his life and released his own disc "The Final Toccata".
For a time he lived in Los Angeles, traveled, staying for a long time in Thailand and Sri Lanka. He worked as organist and choir director, taught, was a soloist of the Westchester Symphony Orchestra and music director in several well-known churches. He released seven discs of classical piano and original organ music.
His trilogy was most successful: "Angels" ("Angels", 2007), "Goddess" ("Goddesses", 2007), "Faeries" ("Fairies", 2008). These three albums were warmly received by the public, and are now sold all over the world.
Currently, David Hicken lives on the north shore of the island of Oahu (Hawaii), fond of snorkeling, likes to ride a bike along the picturesque mountain paths and, of course, writes his beautiful, exquisite music.
"I wanted to create music that would bring joy, peace, harmony, hope," he says and further notes in his booklet: "My goal is to create music that enriches the life of my audience and helps to get rid of the stresses of everyday life" .
