Andre Leon Nicolas Marie André Rieu (niderl André Léon Marie Nicolas Rieu; born October 1, 1949, Maastricht..) - Dutch violinist and conductor called after Johann Strauss, the son of the King of the Waltz in the press. Having founded the Maastricht Salon Orchestra, consisting of just a few musicians, André Rieu performed with them in Dutch nursing homes, playing Viennese waltzes.
